SCRANTON - Tomorrow Leader’s Today Funds at The Scranton Area Foundation recently awarded the Boys & Girls Clubs of Northeastern Pennsylvania with a $3,000 grant to fund the Club’s Meal Service Program.
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Northeastern Pennsylvania provides meals to all children participating in their After School Program Monday through Friday during the school year.
According to Tricia DiBiasi Thomas, Club executive director, “We feel it is very important to provide this service to our members during off-school hours. We have witnessed first-hand the problem of hunger among children during our 110+ year history, and we are very thankful for the support of Tomorrow Leader’s Today Funds at The Scranton Area Foundation.”
Annually the Club provides over 34,000 meals and snacks to boys and girls ages 6-18.
