Community members, loyal donors and local government officials recently gathered to celebrate the Boys & Girls Clubs of Northeastern Pennsylvania’s Lights on After School event. The Club also held a “Bring Your Parent to the Club” evening to showcase the many things taking place at the Club. Some of the activities that took place that evening were face painting, balloon making and parent/Club member dodge ball games. Enjoying the festivities is Club member Dehjza Cheery.
Lynne Shedlock, on behalf of the Lackawanna County Commissioners, attended the event to present a proclamation to support the Lights on After School event. Club member Ben Howard proudly accepted the proclamation on behalf of the Boys & Girls Clubs of NEPA.
