Boys & Girls Clubs of NEPA and Blue Cross of Northeastern Pennsylvania Host Back-to-School Health Fair

…projected to assist 200 boys and girls ages six through 18


WHO: The Boys & Girls Clubs of Northeastern Pennsylvania

WHAT: Proudly presents the Back-to-School Health Fair sponsored by Blue Cross of Northeastern Pennsylvania. 

WHEN: Thursday, August 22, 2013. Activities will begin around 8:30 a.m. and continue into the afternoon.  *** Photo and interview opportunities are available.  Best time to arrive is 10:00 a.m.

WHERE: Central Club located at 609 Ash Street in Scranton. 

WHY:  Youth members from the Club’s central unit, Park It sites and Luzerne County Club extensions will receive free health screenings administered by area health care professionals.  The youngsters will also receive a variety of safety, health and personal information they and their parents/guardians can utilize for reference materials.

Healthcare professionals and organizations from all over Lackawanna County will volunteer their time to educate and safeguard Club members in preparation for the back-to-school season.  Provider participants should include: Dr. Frank Padula, AmeriHealth, Larayne Lutz Young, Northeast Eye Institute, Marywood University, Wells Fargo Bank.
